About Me

Hey, I’m Jon.

First thing you should know is that I’ve had a really absurd, unconventional life.

I was homeschooled until high school.

When I was 13 my parents decided to produce a full-length feature film about a fat, awkward boy with braces and a pre-puberty boy soprano voice.

I was lucky enough to be the star. Seriously.

That movie kickstarted my entrepreneurial dreaming.

When I got to university I decided to study Philosophy because I wanted to make getting a job as difficult as possible after graduation.

During the summers I sold books door-to-door, with a 155 year old company called Southwestern Advantage. I worked over 80 hours a week, every week of the summer, for five years.

I knocked on over 20,000 doors.

I learned a lot about what I wanted, and what I didn’t want. I noticed that the size of people’s houses, and the cost of the car in the driveway had no effect on how happy the people were.

(In fact, it seemed like a lot of the people with a ton of expensive stuff were less happy than those without but that’s another story.)

By the time I graduated I had made about $110,000 gross profit. (Note: that’s just gross profit, I had expenses. Gotta watch out for people who exaggerate income claims without giving the whole story.)

My net profit was about $50,000.

By the fifth and final summer I was an organization leader, training other students how to sell books and run a business also.

I was working over 100 hours a week.

The excessively long hours broke me.

On top of that, before the summer I had gotten sucked into some pyramid schemes, and naively thought that making money online was easy and that I had it figured out.

Everything changed when I read Tim Ferriss’s 4-Hour Workweek though.

I learned about concepts like automation, passive income, lifestyle design and geo-arbitrage.

So I limped through the rest of the summer, sold 90% of my possessions and bought a one-way ticket to Peru.

I started working online, and living cheaply, and everything changed. I felt like my life was full of purpose, excitement and freedom.

Now I still haven’t figured out how to completely automate my income, and roam the world slaying dragons and saving maidens yet.

There’s a steep, and frustrating learning curve to get to complete freedom.

I still do a lot of work.

I’m the co-founder of a new startup, I have my own freelance copywriting business and I’ve published several books on Kindle.

Freedom Business Learning Curve

In fact, there are still some weeks that I work more than 50 hours. But it’s not work for me anymore, it’s life.

I love what I do.

And I want to bend the fabric of space and time to create a wormhole to get you ahead on the lifestyle business learning curve, so you can start loving what you do and traveling the world also.

I am incredibly grateful that I was exposed to the ideas of lifestyle design, and more importantly that I took action.

But Enough About Me, This Blog is About YOU!

You came here because you want something more out of your life and work right?

Well, I want to help you because I know what it’s like to fail miserably online. I had 6 blogs that went nowhere before this one. I spent over $3,000 on “training programs” that got me nowhere.

I know what it’s like to want something, but be terrified of taking action and taking the risk required to get to it.

People think you’re a dreamer who just haven’t given up yet, and sometimes you start to believe them.

Well, that’s bullshit.

Yes, you are a dreamer, but you’re not the only one.

You can live the lifestyle of your dreams.

Your goals are achievable.

All you need is the right mindset, strategies and some inspiration.

The biggest obstacle for you right now is you don’t know how to get your life working for you instead of you reacting to your life.

We’re going to figure this out, together.

All you have to do is subscribe and let me share what I’ve learned. Fill out the form below, and I’ll email you once a week with strategies and case studies on how to leverage your time, create passive income, travel for cheap and have a ton of fun doing it.

Oh yeah, and it’s free.
